Digital reading is different. In order for our students to read electronic text deeply, we need to take a more active role in directing the development of new reading comprehension strategies and strengthen student capacity to self-monitor reading. In this session we will discuss how to promote deep reading of digital text by leveraging accessibility features, using media to build content knowledge, developing collaborative online learning communities, gathering student user data and providing effective feedback.
